Because I can't stop thinking of all the farm moments in my life, I am just going to name them for my own memory sake in code.
Crabapples, apple orchard, swimming in the canal, Eric's E.T Christmas, aunt Connie living in the house downstairs, the canning cellar with canned goods, raspberries with tapioca, helping grandma cook, quilts, gpas lemon drops, church in Hazelton, gpa tracing the lines in my hands during sacrament, blue shag carpet, gmas pies, cream potatoes and peas at every family gathering, shucking fresh corn in the garage, hiding things in grandmas sweet pea flowers, the tree fort in the yard, harvest moon so full and orange, late night talks between parents and laughter, gma telling made up stories as we fell asleep in Uncle Kens old room, dress up in gmas closet with cousin Jenny. All those silk nighties and high heels. Gpa squeezing my hands and always saying " so warm, so warm". Gpa's daily lunch of white homemade bread and milk and his daily breakfast of white bread, gravy and ketchup. The formal living room with the orange couch, big mirror and sheer curtains. Grandmas bath tub, gpa's wash room and the main bath tub where we as cousins would have so much fun getting clean. Playing in the powder soft dirt in the driveway.....naked. Bouncing on the rectangle trampoline and falling off and experiencing getting the wind knocked out of me for the first time. Food prepared straight from the farm.
Sitting for hours in the garden eating fresh peas and strawberries. Fighting my mom for a soda and sugared cereal that grandma ALWAYS had.
