Wild Waves Fright Night

We were given 6 free tickets to Wild Waves, so we took the kids last night.
We had a great time. There were virtually no lines. It was wonderful. I love that they have a kids section for the little ones. I say this, but, Mae really really loved all the rides.
She was too short for all the ones she wanted to go on. At one point, she said to the ride person " okay, how bout you take my temperature and see if I am tall enough yet". So funny.
Rylan went on some fun rides too. He was a little nervous, but I went on the one below with him.
It was the only ride I went on. .I gave in and had a fast food hamburger. I can't even remember the last time I ate fast food. Maybe 5 months ago or more. It completely messed my stomach up for the rest of the night and I felt queasy and icky.

I love Mae's face below. She was soo excited and couldn't stop talking ALL NIGHT>

Oh yeah...I went on the carousel too. Mae's favorite. :)

Basketball

You may not know this about me....but I played basketball in High School.
Yeah, that's right.....short little me. I also played for few years before that.
I only played my freshman year. All the plays were overwhelming for me. I just liked to shoot hoops.
I have been trying to organize a women's basketball group and so far have a few friends interested. Last night, the boys had mutual/scouts, so we went early to play some bball.
My boys were very surprised. There were many giggles and a lot of smack talking.
In the end....I think I impressed them with my skills and new found energy since losing all this weight.
The lame part? I went to attempt a 180 layup and hurt the top of my foot....sprained, twisted? Something not. good. Doesn't feel great today. Good thing I went for my long run yesterday and can take the day off today!

The Outsiders....

Myron was ASKED to read (not audition like every one else) for the part of Pony Boy in the upcoming BPA play "The Outsiders". He wasn't just asked by anyone...he was asked by my friend, Dinah. I'd include her last name, but I don't want this to come up on google searches.
Unfortunately, my little Myron hasn't acted (unless you count our wards christmas play), and was feeling very shy. So....the part went to someone else. Hush now...i know!
They asked if he would feel more comfortable being in the ensemble. He obliged. Shucks.
Then, miss Grease star herself, asked that Nathan and Brennan come along as they needed more boys. So.....to BPA we went tonight. I had to fight them tooth and nail.
After two hours, (yes) I left them and met a friend for dinner. A half an hour later the boys called. They had LEFT....yes, LEFT the rehearsal. Nathan and Brennan had had it and refused to return. Luckily Myron (after a nice talking to by Gabe) decided to continue on and take part in the play. Yay. It's nice to have so many friends as actors on this Island. Team work people! Team work. Myron will now be in the Outsiders. I thought for sure he was greaser material but...nope. He's a Soc...

Pumpkin Patch!

Only two children you ask? Well, yes....
My older boys didn't want anything to do with the Pumpkin patch....
"That's for kids", they said. Boy, did they miss out on all the fun. :)

Happy Birthday Brennan!

Well.....he's a teenager. I have THREE teenagers now. I can't believe it!!
He wanted a cell phone and a digital camera...done and done. Easy peasy. We also carved pumpkins, made caramel apples and roasted seeds tonight.

My sweet boy....Happy Birthday!

Poison Ivy?

Mae spent the day at Grandma Sandras and was spoiled as usual. They went Halloween costume shopping and this is how Mae was returned to me. I am surprised she let us wash her hair before bed. What a cutie.

LadyTron!!

For my birthday present, Shane got us tickets to one of my favorite bands, Ladytron.
We had NO idea that they weren't even going to go on until midnight until the day of.
So....yes we still went, but luckily Showbox was wonderful and gave us a two ticket credit to an upcoming show.

We met our close friends before hand for dinner and dancing, here on the Island.
Then we caught the 11:30 ferry into Seattle.
We had such a great time. Even though we were only at the concert for an hour. It was incredible.
Eon, Elise and Nate.
Nate and Shane below. Shane was asked by a whole group of women if he was famous because they thought he looked like Kubiak (click here) from Parker Lewis rules. Too funny!
The only bummer? When we finally got back to our car at 2:30am....we couldn't find the keys. We took a taxi home and came back in the morning with the spare set, but alas....the parking officer ticketed us...50.00. It was worth it though!

Tonight is my big birthday party with all my friends. Can't wait!
