The Rainbow Fish

Let's start with the fact that I have NEVER acted. Despite this lil problem, my director friend, Gabe asked me to play the lead role in his upcoming play at Kidimu, "The Rainbow Fish."
Nevermind that I get stage fright, or that it is 24, YES, 24 pages of memorizing, or that people are PAYING to see the show, or that I have to not only perform it for 4 days, but, again the month after in Poulsbo at the Jewel Box theater for 6 shows! As soon as he told me that the entire time that he was writing the script, he was thinking of me as the Rainbow Fish, I was sold. Vanity wins every time. Coincidentally, this is the Rainbow Fish's issue as well. Go figure. Wink wink.

The Adventures of Nate the Great

I keep finding these photos on Facebook. Nathan and his friends sure like to dress up, make movies, take funny photos and play pranks on each other. Obviously there are some perks to having friends on the cheerleading squad. Doesn't Nathan look cute in a skirt?

Shane is in Los Angeles

This was taken 7 years ago on a white water rafting trip that we took together. HAWT.
Nuff said..........
Obviously I am missing him something fierce. He's only been gone two days, but with a face like his.....two days is too long. Can't wait until he is back home next week. Safe travels baby!

Hotel vacation....

On Sunday, we headed out to the Silverdale Beach hotel to enjoy their pool/hot tub/sauna/television!! Monday was a holiday so no school for the kiddos. Myron spent the night at a buddies.

I love it when my kids get along. :) We were so excited to watch TV because we don't have television at home. After an hour, we all had our fill of it....Too much garbage on TV!

The kids wanted Taco Bell and Shane and I didn't have the stomach for it, so, we took Mae out to dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant, Campanas. It was fun to spend that time with her away from home and the other kids.
My favorite...seafood fettucini.....yum.
It was a lot of fun and now the kids are home again because of the snow....snow you say? Why yes....4 whole inches of it and everything is shut down. Very funny for a girl that spent part of her childhood in Alaska. :)

The Outsiders part deux

So far, I have been to 4 shows. It keeps getting better and better! Myrons friend Liam came with me the first night. Opening nights are so great because there is free food (good food) and drinks. Yum. So, Shane and I went together for that and then I ended up being asked to do the hair and makeup for the cast, so I got to go again and again.
Myron has had such a positive experience. He and his cast have become like a family and they are some terrific kids. Myron is an amazing actor and I can't wait to see him in his next play.
I was asked by my director friend, to play the lead role in his upcoming play. I have never acted, but after some gentle persuasion, I agreed. It's a lot of memorizing, but, I am excited to do it.
Myron will be in the play with me.
Too bad my eyes were shut in the below photo. Myron looks so good though, I decided to take one for the team and post the photo anyways.
I am so incredibly proud of him. The play is amazing and I hope that you all get a chance to get out and see it before the show ends.

directing and he has been insanely busy for the last 3 months in preparation for this amazing play.

A Keeper

So, I have an even better photo, but, can't locate it JUST now. It happens to be my desktop background as well. I don't want you to get the idea that I JUST adore Mae. I mean...I DO. adore. her. I also adore my boys, although, they are stinky, loud, obnoxious, and rude.....
I caught a few photos of Mae sleeping last week and they reminded me of how very much I always wanted a little girl. She is the sweetest, dearest, most thoughtful, little human being in my life. Where my boys want to wrestle me constantly ( and we do)....I have this sweet little girl that wants kisses and cuddles instead. When I apply my makeup, she exclaims "oh mommy, you are so BEAUTIFUL!" I adore her.....I adore them....
This job of "mommy" is the best around.

Friends

I. heart. my two closest friends right now. Our husbands are all close, we are close. It's a great thing. Last night we all went out to sing karaoke. Turns out....i'm getting pretty good!
After karaoke, we went back to Summer and Toms to play games. I am so thankful that for the first time in our married life, we have couples that we can really hang and be ourselves with AND can keep up with us socially.
We have all been close friends going on two years now and I don't know what I would have done this past year without their support.
