Merry Christmas!!

Well, it was another great Christmas. Daddy made some very special handmade gifts for the kids as usual. Mae has been DYING for puppets and daddy made her, her very own puppet theater.
Rylan didn't know it, but the best toy around was daddy's handmade stilts. So special.
I want to write more, but I am exhausted! I'll add more tomorrow, or the day after that.......or the day after that.......or the day after that......etc.
Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday Rylan!!

Not only has my MacBook crashed (thanks kids), I have been sick with the flu since Sunday.
WHY me?? Why so often?? So far, it's just Mae and I. She just has the adorable sniffles. I have the "feel like morning sickness, sickness". NO I am not pregnant although the kids were convinced I was tonight. They all want another little one. Thanks to little cutie ma tootie Torah.
I am NO where near ready for another addition, so don't get all excited.

Rylan had a great birthday. It's hard having a birthday so close to Christmas, but he seems to be un scarred, emotionally, about it. :)
We ended up at Chuck E Cheese tonight while Nathan and I did some last minute Christmas shopping. FUN. Anyhow......I am heading to bed.......again. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Party at Starbucks

It's 1 am, I just got home and it's too late to post anything. It was a great party, lots of good friends and my sides are going to be sore tomorrow from laughing so much. Goodnight!

Friday night

Last night was relatively busy, so tonight we kept it simple and had family game night while the older boys were at parties.
Nathan and Myrons buddy Jack turned 14 and joined their other friends at his surprise party.

Love these kids. They are the bees knees in my opinion.
Queen party planner. Go Laurene!
Nathan is at yet another party and I can't wait to see what white elephant present he comes home with. We sent him with toy story silly bands, but other kids got pretty creative.
After just talking to a friend at the party, so far, he has tap shoes!
Tomorrow ...couples pizza night at the Starbucks house ! Yum!

Karaoke Thursday!

I may have crazy friends, high school friends, mormon friends, family friends, sports friends,
book club friends, work friends, dance friends etc. BUT I love them all just the same. I wish I could meld them all together, but I can't. So, sometimes I go out with each group separately. It can be exhausting but I love ALL my friends no matter who they are or what mold they fit in to.
Once a week or every other week, I have at least one night with each group. Tonight was karaoke. I didn't sing tonight, but enjoyed just watching all of my amazing friends that love me for ME.
Later on Bryan and Lydia came back to our house for a midnight showing of Stardust.
Fun night!

Can you tell his dad is a carpenter?

Shane and Brennan (well Shane) worked tirelessly on a paper template for Brennan to take to school so he could then construct this gingerbread house. Myron and Nathan had the same teacher and therefore the same activity. Theirs was great, but no where near as huge and detailed! They chose to rush through theirs so they could hurry and bring them home.
Who can blame them? Brennan came home with this today and I could not believe my eyes!
He also came home with this beautiful, now framed, letter to his mom and pops.
You may need to enlarge to read. It's worth it. I can't wait for Shane to get home to read it to him!
I love you Brennan.

Jets end of season party

First of all, the surprise of the night announced by Dawsons dad (BIYSC president) and Markhams mom (BIYSC vice president) was that our team won the Best Sportsmanship award. This is a big honor and the kids will be awarded at a soccer ball in February. They really are the most polite and kind kids I know.
Okay....now onto some things I loved about tonight.
Obviously the kid in the above photo. He's my little sunshine. We had so much fun tonight and even snuck into the movie theater (well not really, I know the ticket seller) to watch 20 minutes or so of the new Harry Potter film before dinner.
2nd....below photo. Coach Dan chose to sit with the kids instead of the adults. He is the best!
All in all, there were over 50 people in attendance and we had a great time.
Assistant Coach Deb. Love her. She brought photos of all the years the kids have been together on this team. Too sweet.
The all boys table.

Although Myron was asked to play on an indoor team during the off season, we can't wait for next season! GO JETS!
