FHE- Christmas Lists
So tonight, we had a great little lesson prepared about Christ and the "gifts" that we receive from him. I ended up having to go over to Sandra/mom (need to think of a better name) to help her in a pinch. So....I am saving that lesson for tomorrow as I have a great one planned for next Monday as well. I had the kids sit down and write out their Christmas lists. Rylan is a birthday/Christmas wish list, so he is still working on his and Mae's...i'll just list the things at the bottom.
I am doing this at the request of grandparents/ aunts/uncles etc. Click on them to enlarge.
The first is Brennans-
What we WONT be getting him-
air soft gun
night vision goggles
remote control helicopter
He REALLY wants Itunes gift cards.
What we wont be getting him-
Gift cards
What we wont be getting him but you can-
A new book series, but not fairy tale! WHAT?! He LOVES lego sets.
He really is looking forward to a new skate board, bike, helmet set...etc.
He loves legos, games (board) and DS games.
It's his birthday the 22nd so he gets double this year!
Malan-
ANYTHING girly! Dress up clothes. I am buying her the vintage strawberry shortcake dolls because she has a sweet collection right now and takes very good care of them. NO barbies, although I did find a sweet Japanese style barbie that is more childlike. They are called KURHN dolls and you can't find them in the states. But what Mae REALLY REALLY wants is a Lalaloopsy doll. Soo cute!
Shane and Katie-
Wii Fit game and accessories!
Gift certificates
Merry Christmas. There you go brave family members. May the force be with you and all of us this Christmas season!

State soccer tournament! Year 2!
First game was at 5:30 and the second was at 7:45. They had a 30 minute break in between to get warm and eat something. The fields were incredible. I understand how Eastlake won out over Bainbridge.
Below, Nathan keeping himself and Mae warm. Brrrr.
The kids out for the first half critiquing the kids playing. FYI, both groups did this.
It was so funny to hear their comments during the game. "Oh man, I would have ----- ".
My little monkeys rooting on their brother. Myron played quite a game. He was everywhere!
This team is incredible. All the kids are best buds and so amazing with each other. As parents, we have all gotten closer as well. What a special experience. We, as a family will always look fondly back on these moments.

Ps- Fastest Blueberry Eater in the Northwest!
EMAIL FROM COACH---
"There is still a chance we will play tomorrow afternoon. The two teams we
played today play each other at 9am. We should know around 10:30 in the
morning whether we have an afternoon game or not.
Here are the scenarios for us playing tomorrow (assuming I am interpreting
the rules and tie breaks correctly and that the score of our second game was
0-5. I sort of lost track of the goals scored against us.)
1) Dragons (team we played in first game) are shutout and allow more than 5
goals scored against them
Or
2) Dragons are shutout 0-5 and we win a coin toss"
Soooo.......they might still have a chance!

Time to get in shape!
Up until 7 years ago....Shane and I looked like....this. We were very active and in shape. What happened?? I don't know but after finding these photos today, I am very motivated to look like this again. I mean afterall....we are wasting our "pretty" years! I miss my HOT husband and I am sure he misses his HOT wife.
I feel that when you are chubby/fat like us, people draw their own conclusions about you. Shane is an insanely hard worker. I, am not, but, I have never looked at myself as chubby or fat.I look at myself and still see the "skinny" me. When I see photos, I am in shock. "That's NOT me" I think. Truth be known....it is. I am sick of feeling tired, still wearing maternity clothes, and feeling out of shape. Heloooo new years EARY resolutions. It is time to shed these unwanted pounds. If not for vanities sake....for my children.

A pup named Zoe
Many of you know our track history with dogs/cats etc.
We have had probably 8 dogs in 15 years! We always find them good homes but, it's never been
a good fit.
We finally decided, um....hello, we are not dog people. Bring in Zoe.
While I owned the store, a friend that worked at the restaurant next door asked if we would mind taking Zoe on a trial basis. Her daughter is busy with school and cheerleading and her man was leaving to Iraq in December.
We said, "sure", for two weeks. Well, two weeks has turned into 4 months and we adore her.
She is the dog we always wanted. Thanks to my godmother, Sandra. She is a DOG person in every regard and has really helped us understand and love Zoe the way we should. Zoe is a loving, passive, playful girl and we are in love.
