Concert in the park.....

FYI....for the first time since my little girl was born, I was able to braid (kind of) her hair. It didn't last long....see below photo.
We went with some family friends to the last "concert in the park" at Battlepoint. It was so nice to see so many friends.
Fun was had by all. I can't believe it is the end of summer already!!! What?!

Haircuts and brotherly love...

Brennan just started football. We thought it was probably time to get a hair cut. As you can see.....Myron isn't quite ready yet. Pre Hair cut....
Post haircut....he seems to like it. :)
My handsome Nathan....
My sweet boys. We were having a good laugh tonight at how surprised Shane and I were when Brennan was born. We had Nathan and Myron already,....brown haired, brown eyed and along comes Brennan. White white white with blonde hair and blue eyes....quite the surprise.
Goofballs. I adore them.....

Movie night

I hate scary movies. Once in a while I oblige and last night I agreed to watch one with my boys.
My boys had been gone since Monday on a 50 mile, week long hike with the scouts.
I missed them something terrible. I just wasn't sleeping right without them home.
When I watch scary movies.....I have a method to get through them. See above photo. Fingers in ears and fingers across the eyes. Pretty sure I missed half the film, but I was there at least.
The kids thought it was pretty funny when I would get scared because they thought the film wasn't scary at all.

The first film we watched as a family was Zoolander. We decided to turn moms room into a giant bed.
Soo happy to have all my little ones home safe again.

Working girl....

I have been working 5 days a week. 9-5:30 for a couple of weeks now. Even though it isn't always physically strenuous, it is boooring for a girl on the go like me. I am taking care of a friends great aunt who is 91. It is nice to get this experience because I was considering going to nursing school in September. I have also applied at wedding.com and a day care, so I am definitely hopeful that work is in my future. It feels good to earn my own moolah. (sp?)
I miss the kids a lot, but hey, i've stayed home for years. It's Shanes turn to take the kids for a while. :)
