Update in text (Part 3)

It is the calm before the storm, only, I am not feeling too calm. Nathan has been gone two days now and I am missing him like crazy. He is on a pioneer trek until tomorrow, living just as a pioneer. One change of clothes (pioneer clothes), one spoon, a pie tin, no toothbrush, one journal, one Book of Mormon and other minimal necessities. I cannot wait to hear of his experience, but I am so heartbroken at his absence. What is this mama going to do when her birds leave the next? He is such an amazing boy. I know he is doing great and having fun, but I can't help but be lonely without him. Tomorrow is yet another bazaar. This time in Port Townsend. I am nervous, stress ridden....etc. This is my first show off Island and I really hope we get a good attendance.
Port Townsend is amazing. I would show you the awesome photos I took, but alas...my camera uploader thingmabob is still MIA. Malan turned 3 yesterday. Trust that I took some blog worthy photos of that as well, but, of course, they are imprisoned on my camera. I will also take photos of tomorrows show in the amazing old old OLD building down on the waterfront, but will you get to see those? Who knows......wish me luck!

Blog in text part deux

This time my laptop battery isn't taking a charge, so I cannot upload photos.
This comes at the worst time possible considering that I have a show coming up in 7 days and another one just 3 weeks after that and ALL my info is on my laptop. Pray for me....just do it.
This past week was a glorious one. Why? Because my 14 ( Ahem.... I mean 16 year old) year old has been AWESOME as my new employee. That and another AWESOME 16 year old girl that loves working for me for an (another ahem.....) discounted rate. So....where does that leave me?
That leaves me sleeping in, cuddling my little ones a little longer and maybe or maybe not getting dressed by 10am. Wonderful....that's all I can say. Nathan has been riding the 5 miles or so into town every morning and then back home by 6. He is such my little man. It was a very strange realization to be feeding two working men last night. Not sure if that last sentence was grammatically correct, but you get the "gist". There were plenty of jokes and laughs about his new responsibility. More importantly, there is the pride this mama has that her son is hardworking, courteous, respectful and helpful. Way to go Nathan!

Update in text

I'd add some photos, but as usual, I have one without the other meaning......the camera but not the memory card.
Anyhow....it's been a wild, busy, fun week or so. For Memorial Day, we headed out to Issaquah for 3 days for Brennans select baseball tournament.
It was a great weekend and although it rained and they only played 2 games out of a possible 10, we had a nice hotel room with a pool and many thrift stores around it to keep this mama happy.
I found some more Care Bears books from the 80's that I collect and that made the whole weekend worth the rain!
Brennans little league team is now in the playoffs and are tied for first place, so we'll see how that all goes. Nathan went to his 8th grade banquet last night and again.....I didn't have my camera.
I am really bummed. Jenny, if you have any photos of the amazing decorations, I'd love to see them.
I have been quite sick with a sinus infection that started up on Thursday and left me bedridden today. I had to miss my favorite Sunday of the month, fast and testimony meeting.
Tomorrow I get another day off which is wonderful.
I have a lot things that have been offered to me in terms of Indie Banditas getting bigger.
Three offers from people to open up their own Indie Banditas in Bellingham, Gig Harbor and Olympia. Luckily my best friends husband is an attorney that specializes in just these types of business agreements.
School is almost out and I am buying as many memberships across the Island as I can.
Anyone that wouldn't mind an extra kid, please give us a call. I tried training Nathan on Saturday in hopes that he would work at the store sometimes, but that didn't go so well. He seems to have his fathers shyness.
Anyhow......life is good, fast paced as usual and I am happy. What more can I say?
