Boys will be boys?

I SHOULD be posting about the bazaar that took place this past weekend. INSTEAD....as we were finally leaving after THE looongest day ever, Bren and his brother decided to play skateboard on a "cart" type thing. Within minutes....Brennan's missing his front tooth and blood is everywhere.
Off to the E.R to have the tooth put back in. Hopefully it takes. Tomorrow we are off to the dentist first thing in the morning.

He had a very fun and young ER doc that played a mad scientist to make him feel better.
We arrived home shortly after midnight. I will post about the bazaar hopefully tomorrow night.

Congratulations to The Jets! District 4 Champions!!

I can't figure out how to move this above photo to the bottom! Anyhow...this is what Nathan did during the game. He walked around the track over and OVER with Mackenzie. They were best friends from 1st grade until 6th grade when she became "popular". They are just starting to hang out again. I just had to snap a photo.
After a grueling 2 day, 4 games tournament (one day in the pouring rain), Myrons soccer team won the District 4 champion tournament and now will go on to compete in the State tournaments December 6th and 7th in Arlington. They have had intense games all through the season and today was no different. It was amazing to watch these boys, most have played Select Soccer (a league for kids that want to play and learn more). Their team work was amazing. Myron has never played better. I am very proud of him. Of course, the girls are always attracted to Brennan and this little girl followed him around the entire game. He loves playing with younger kids and is very good with them.

Mae....of course decided to play in the water and was soaked before long.

Weekend Review

The Christmas House opened up for the season on Saturday and Nonny and I took the girls. We picked up some fun stuff and visited with the owners, who are dear friends.
I grew up with Carolee's daughter and spent lots of time in this house as a teenager. She sells handmade and vintage items and it is always a treat to see her.

Rylan lost his first tooth! He was so scared to lose it. I finally just asked to wiggle it and pulled it out myself.

Friday, some friends of ours Shannon and Wilo asked to take Mae and so Shane and I went out on a date. We had a great time and even managed to stop by a friends house and hang out for a while. Mae had a great time and of course.....didn't want to leave.

Fun weekend for sure. :)

A two year old....the best birth control

Nevermind that Mae has drawn with pen on every surface of my house, or has decided to cut her hair, not once.....but twice this week. It was this that I walked in on after foolishly taking a 5 minute shower today. Needless to say...I still can't figure out how to get all the keys back on and now have to buy a wireless keyboard for my barely 6 month old laptop. This comes at such a great time with just 7 days left until the bazaar and me staying up all hours of the night....TYPING!

Oh.....Mae....I am thankful for the reminder that I will never have to deal with the terrible twos again. Well.....not until I am a grandparent and can give them back.

Interviewed and photographed....

Yesterday was my big interview with the editor of the Bainbridge Review, our local newspaper.
Today was my big photo session with a photographer that came all the way from Everett to shoot an artsy edgy photo of me. It was exciting. My friend and makeup artist, met me at Nonny's house to do my hair and makeup so that I looked very 50's ish. At the end of the makeup and hair session, Hyrum came up to me and said ..."KK, you look.....weird". Not the comment I was hoping for. He said..."You don't look like YOU". I said....is that good or bad, he said " Bad" and got upset.
Apparently, makeup doesn't suit me. I just don't look reckognizable. Norah, would barely even come to me afterwards. I have to admit, I felt like I had a mask on with all the fake lashes and makeup. It took over an hour to do and I could NEVER take the time (or would want to) do that!
I am fine with mascara and lipstick (on a good day). Anyhow, the shoot went great and I can't wait to see the final product out this Friday! If you get a copy, please save it for me. Chances are I will totally forget. My brain isn't right these days!

Ps- This is a photo my hubby took, I will post the ones that the makeup artist took later on.
You can't tell how 50's my hair is in this one, and I shed the eyelashes and hair do as soon as the shoot was over.

While the dogs are away......the cats will play

Today, for the first time......all three of my older boys went on a scout campout together. As I type this..it is nearly 2am and I can't stop thinking about how cold they must be. I packed enough clothes, but who knows if they will remember that I packed them? I didn't put notes in their backpacks either, which is driving me crazy. I am not going to sleep well tonight, this I know. I just picture them shivering cold.

On a brighter side, Rylan ane Mae sure had fun playing Nathans guitars. All I kept thinking about tonight is how much I miss my boys. I could never be a mom of just two kids. It is just so lonely. We really miss the boys.

Hurry back safe boys. We miss you too much!

Special date with Rylan

To catch up, The boys are pictured above taking flags down on Veterans Day. We thoroughly enjoy doing this as a family and felt very patriotic doing so. When else can I watch my boys acting together to get a job done for a good reason? I felt very proud.

On to what this blog is really about......my amazing date night with the Rylan man.
I just adore this boy......and all my kids, but really REALLY fell in love with this little man all over again tonight. Tonight was our fun night and we went to dinner at our favorite restaurant, shopped for a special toy, and hit Dairy Queen on the way back. As we pulled into the driveway..
Rylan said to me "mom, this was the BEST night of my life". Oh, how I love him.
Rylan photographing me. Mmm Los Cabos.
Just so you know........I may ADORE my Rylan man.....but equally adore this little sweet pea falling asleep on the sofa waiting for her mama to get home. I love the butt up in the air, baby position. Someday.........she will be a young woman.
And........yes......I also adore these wonderful young men......asleep as they are. I love to get into bed with them while they are asleep and hold them for just a little bit. Sorry Nathan, you are on the top bunk, so you just get kisses and love notes.

Being a mom is amazing. Remind me of this when I have bad days!

Representing!

We represented today! I made tshirts last night by using iron on transfer paper that you can print a design on straight from your printer. They turned out great and now I have tshirts to sell at the bazaar to bring in some extra moolah. The best part is that I saved myself over 400.00 by doing it myself!
If you haven't seen our flyers yet, here is one above for you to swoon over. One of our artists and a good friend of mine, painted this just for the bazaar. I adore it. Just two weeks left and I am SO excited!

Happy Late Late LATE birthday Brennan

I took Brennan and his buds to Skateland for his late birthday celebration. They had a blast and
I even got out there on skates as well. Now, I don't have to hear Brennan complaining for an entire year about how he didn't get a birthday party, like this past year. He is the child that never lets me forget. I love you Brennan. xo

Just RUN!

I never knew how addicting running could be. Not that I run the entire time, but I am running most of it at least. Tonight, Nonny and I went for a 4 mile run in the rain. She enticed me by saying that she would be at my pace because she hadn't ran in a while.......um......right! She could have run the whole time AND was able to talk the entire time. I could barely talk except the occasional, "yeah, wow......" and other one word phrases in between my labored breaths. The rain felt incredible even though we were soaked by the time we got back. I was happy to have a running companion when a suspicious big rig kept driving by, turning around and driving by again. 4 times in all, but Nonny had a genius plan of jumping into the bushes, so this we did until the truck went by again. I have to admit, it was fun. It took me back to the high school days when that was our favorite clean and fun thing to do.....jump in bushes when cars would come to avoid getting caught being out. Anyhow....about 1/4 of a mile before Nonnys house, we broke into a fast run and I SO wanted to stop, but she encouraged me on and I did it. SO tired tonight. I will be sore AGAIN tomorrow, but it is a great loop. Come join us some night. 5:15pm, 4 mile loop near Fay Bainbridge.

Halloween in Bellingham

Halloween was great. All costumes (except Rylans) were put together within hours of trick or treating thanks to Goodwill and Mae's dress up box. It was so great to be in a neighborhood and walk around and come back to a warm house. Mae was so much fun. The boys went on ahead and she and I took our time. After a few people gave her extra candy, she would then pause at every other door and wait for more if they only gave her one piece.
Getting her dressed up was fun. She looks like such the big girl now. Guess how long the pigtails lasted....until she got in the car.
The loot. The boys didn't stay out as long as normal. They were excited to come back and watch a scary movie.
Sorting through the loot.
The boys were watching a film downstairs and I crept down and scared them. It was too tempting.
We ended up staying 4 days and 3 nights. We always spend an extra day. It is just too hard to leave. We love Bellingham so much.

The boys love using my brothers old skateboards when they come to visit. They are getting pretty good.

We ate at some fun places, played at our favorite park and enjoyed each others company.
Monday, we spent all day getting home. We stopped at the Tulalip Casino to have their famous buffet. It was amazing. Afterwards, we hit the outlet stores. The kids loved Nike and I loved GAP of course. We are already planning our next trip after the holidays.
If my dad had his way, we would be living in that house. I am just not there yet.

Oh- Ps- Went running every day I was there, except Fri, major wind storm.
B of M news- I am MAJOR behind and have to read 45 pages tomorrow. Hope you are keeping up!
